2024-25 Prep Chorus (Grades 1-2): Spring Session, Amethyst (Tuesdays)

Singers begin their choral singing journey in Prep Chorus, which introduces first and second graders to singing together in a choral format. Prep Chorus meets once a week for 45 minutes; rehearsals include games, movement, and singing with an emphasis on creating sound as a group. Concepts taught include the solfege scale, beat, rhythm, pitch matching, and singing in unison and in two parts. Repertoire will include unison folk songs, partner songs, and rounds. Each session culminates in a performance for family.
